A few of our neighbors :)
Thursday we decided to drive into Yellowstone through the west entrance, we should have gotten out earlier, the crowds were out and once we started stopping to look at geysers there were masses of people. We dealt with it for awhile and also got a two mile hike in to Mystic Falls. Next week we'll be near the north entrance and we'll just get our days started earlier.
After our not so fun time at Yellowstone we stopped in at Mack's Inn which is a short distance south of our park. The Henry's Fork of the Snake River is there with a boat launch and rental of all types of water vessels, we asked if they provided shuttle service. They did and told us where the boat launch up river was which we decided to check out. After checking out the boat launch just up the road we found the spring that feeds the waterway. Crystal clear cold water, what a beautiful site.
Friday we got out on the water, no crowds and surrounded by nature, what more could we ask for. This is just one of 3 moose we saw, one even had a calf with her. Dave tried fishing but didn't have any flies just lures so the fish one on this day.
Saturday was a much cooler day and rain was forecast, we took a 5 mile power walk and decided to stay in the park all day. Tomorrow is a travel day, on to Gardiner MT.
Until next time...
