Sunday we were on the road by 10am headed to Duchesne UT and Starvation State Park. An interesting ride with a summit of 9100' on US 191, about 30 miles south of Duchesne the 4+ mile climb to the top starts, 8% grade most of the way. The descent is 2+ miles of 8% and many miles of 4-5% grades. Makes us really appreciate the Chevy 3500 diesel dually we now have. We arrived at Starvation SP about 2, what a welcome change. We have a beach front site, only 3 other campers and not a rental rv to be found, what a great place to spend a few days decompressing.
Monday neither one of us felt like going anywhere so we enjoyed a long walk, got the canoe in the water...Dave caught himself some lunch, spent some time reading along the shoreline and ended the day with a campfire. What a great day...loving our full time rv lifestyle.
Tuesday neither one of wanted to go anywhere again. With great Verizon wifi I spent the day catching up the blog from our Capitol Reef NP visit and Dave went fishing. No pictures but it was a wonderful day spent relaxing and enjoying the moment.
Until next time...
Yeah, a great way indeed to decompress with no ins and outs of tourists in rental RVs. To top it, Dave caught some fish for your dinner. What a life!
ReplyDeleteThe last two sunset shots are pretty cool.
So glad to not see a rental rv for a few days. Dave caught fish for his lunch I'm a shrimp only girl.
DeleteThose sound like two wonderful days. Your pictures are relaxing too. Love the 3 marchers and the sunsets. Looks like a place I need to visit.
ReplyDeleteSo relaxing, if you ever find yourself in the area we highly recommend a stop here.

ReplyDeleteNope, not dinner for me but Dave enjoyed them. Don't folks know they need to go to Springfield VT to see Bart. Glad to be away from the rental rv's.
